Dartlo village stands out for its unique medieval charm and well-preserved architecture, with traditional stone towers and houses dotting the landscape.

Dartlo serves as a gateway to explore the stunning landscapes and trekking trails of Tusheti National Park, making it a favored destination for hikers and nature enthusiasts.

The village of Tusheti is located in the territory of the protected landscape and it is under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources of Georgia. The restoration of centuries-old houses and towers with the status of a cultural heritage monument in the village of Dartlo took 3 years.

The project was implemented with the co-financing of the World Bank and the Government of Georgia. In addition to rehabilitation of houses, external infrastructure was also organized in Dartlo. There are 8 immovable monuments of cultural heritage in the territory.

Dartlo Church has the status of a monument of national importance. Dartlo has been declared an architectural reserve. It is one of the biggest villages of Tusheti. Since 2014, Dartlo village became empty from any inhabitants of the village.
